Job Description:

  • First Custom Catering employee on site before every venue. Inform Venue Coordinator that we are on site with a brief meeting to review the event agenda and any updates
  • Point of contact for customer and Venue Coordinator at all times while on site
  • Oversee dining room setup with strong attention to detail
  • Communicate and inform kitchen crew when changes have been made to the event schedule that will impact food product release
  • Ensure the efficient flow of orders from serving line to the dining hall
  • Ensure orders are being prepared correctly in accordance to priority
  • Inspect dishes before delivery to dining hall to ensure accuracy, presentation, and temperature standards are achieved
  • Transfer important information between the kitchen (“back-of-house”) and servers (“front-of-house”)
  • Manage complaints from customers in a respectful manner to ensure the customer is satisfied and the reputation of Custom Catering is maintained
  • Conduct team meetings before each shift to ensure the team understands their roles and responsibilities while at the venue
  • Conduct end of shift follow-up meetings with the team, when required, to provide positive feedback and listen to any suggestions teammates may have
  • Provide feedback to Event & Sales Manager to ensure Custom Catering is meeting the needs of all staff and customers
  • Help staff resolve on-the-job challenges
  • Ensure staff are complying to Custom Catering’s standard processes and procedures
  • Delegate tasks to servers to ensure all event milestones are being met efficiently
  • Ensure that the venue has fully-stocked inventory (Plates, Cutlery, Napkins etc.)
  • Ensure that all rented equipment and inventory is accounted for at the end of the shift, and in accordance to Custom Catering’s sanitary standards
  • Support other tasks as required



College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience.

Certificates or Licenses Required:

Valid Driver’s License, Own Transportation
