Job Description:

 The Doctor's Tees is seeking an Assistant and Social Media individual to report directly to the CMO and CEO.  The Doctor's Tees is an Orillia based motivational Tee Shirt Company aimed to bring support and confidence to women. 

 

The Doctor's Tees is founded and run by a team of women with past and current retail, marketing, advertising and branding experience.  As our candidate, you'll learn from a strong female led executive team and have the chance to see how a business is run from the start.  This is an exciting opportunity for someone with entrepreneurial spirit, a thirst for growth, and a drive to help others. 

 

This role will bring to life our social media presence ensuring our brand and purpose is showcased on all integrated marketing communication channels. Additionally, this role will assist the CEO in any office work needed in getting the Tee shirts out the door and to our consumers. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING 

  • Support the CMO in developing the social communication strategy
  • Manage our social media presence and creation of platforms (including but not limited to, curating content, posting, community management, responding to posts, creative execution of posts, copywriting, etc.)
  • Execution of marketing campaigns 
  • Day to day social media monitoring 
  • Assist the CEO by performing general clerical duties to include but not limited to: photocopying, faxing, mail distribution and filing. Coordinates and maintains records for office space, phones, company credit cards and office keys. Creates and modifies various documents using Microsoft Office. 

The breakdown would be 70/30, marketing/office.

  • A passion to help women break through barriers to better themselves and their families.
  • University Degree or College Diploma in social media or marketing, or an equivalent combination or education and experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Positive interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and colleagues
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical, interpersonal and time-management skills;
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office
  • Drive to learn and excited about growing with a start-up
  • Strong understanding/experience with current social media channels and platforms
