Job Description:

Gifted Hands Health Services is an employment agency that provides highly qualified and experienced staff to its Clients. We are looking to hire motivated, energetic and reliable individuals to work with patients as a Personal Support Worker. Working with residents within long term care.

Our staff, are sent to LTC facilities, Hospitals, and private homes where the utmost care of the residents and patients is provided. At Gifted Hands Health Services, we have one clear motto that we adhere to: improve the quality of life for every resident we come into contact with.


  • PSW certification from an approved and recognized educational institution required
  • RN or RPN students with long-term care clinical experience required
  • Experience working in Long term care environment as a PSW or RN/RPN student required
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Activities of daily living such as grooming, dressing and bathing
  • Reporting changes in client behaviour and condition
  • Experience using the P.O.C. (point of care) program required
  • Possess a compassionate and flexible nature, and a client-centred approach to care-giving
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Requires good judgement, problem solving and assessment abilities
  • A keen desire to learn
  • Use of proper body mechanics and successful completion of physical readiness test to ensure safe work practices are followed including mobility, transfers, bending, lifting, push and pulling.
  • Demonstrated ability to recognize safety concerns, communicate effectively using a computer and/or mobile device.
  • Requires good judgement, the ability to work independently and work cooperatively with the care-giving team.
  • Immunization for measles, rubella and varicella, and prophylaxis immunization of Hepatitis B is strongly urged. Must be screened for tuberculosis where required (i.e. long-term care facility).
  • Ability to travel in or outside the GTA by car an asset
  • Flexible work hours
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification
