Assistant Yard Manager

As an Assistant Yard Manager, customer service is priority.

Duties include:

• Assist the Yard Manager and perform acting Yard Manager duties when required.
• Supervise all activities of the yard & warehouses including yard staff, equipment, vehicles, shipping & receiving and yard maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with all health & safety policies.
• Enforces store policies.
• Unloads or oversees the unloading and storage of incoming merchandise.
• Schedules and dispatches customer deliveries according to company policy.
• Provides customer service for retail, contractor or professional builder customers.
• Supervises and trains Yard Attendants, Forklift Operators and Delivery Drivers.
• Maintains physical inventory levels for convenient access for both customers and staff.
• Performs duties and responsibilities of Yard Attendant, Forklift Operator and Delivery Driver when required.

The Assistant Yard Manager reports directly to the Yard Manager.
