The Room Attendant / Laundry Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, presentation, and quality of guest rooms, public areas, linens, uniforms, and other laundry items. This role supports overall guest satisfaction by ensuring a consistently high standard of housekeeping and laundry services. The successful candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. There is an opportunity for full-time hours based on operational requirements, business levels, and employee performance.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Housekeeping Responsibilities
- Clean and service guest rooms and assigned public areas in accordance with established standards, including making beds, changing linens, replacing towels and amenities, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing surfaces.
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of hallways, corridors, and other designated public spaces.
- Greet guests professionally and respond to inquiries in a courteous and helpful manner.
- Report maintenance issues, damages, safety concerns, and housekeeping deficiencies promptly.
- Accurately update room status reports, assignment sheets, and housekeeping records.
- Return, clean, organize, and restock housekeeping carts, equipment, and supplies at the end of each shift.
Laundry Responsibilities
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize linens, uniforms, and other laundry items.
- Press and finish laundry items as required.
- Monitor and maintain linen and laundry inventory.
- Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Report equipment malfunctions and maintenance requirements.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laundry facility.
- Ensure all laundry items meet established cleanliness and quality standards.
Role Requirements
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Ability to remain on your feet for a full shift, up to eight (8) hours or more.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and push up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, twist, reach, and perform repetitive physical tasks safely.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize assigned work.
- Keen attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards.
- Ability to follow all client policies, procedures, and workplace safety requirements.
- Flexible availability and willingness to work varying shifts based on operational needs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Available to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
