Developmental Support Worker (DSW)

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Support Worker to provide one-on-one support for adults with exceptionalities. The primary focus of this role is to support the client in participating in their daily program and community activities.

Key Responsibilities:
– Provide support and companionship to the clients.
– Facilitate and encourage participation in a day program.
– Assist with community outings and recreational activities.
– Promote independence and personal growth.
– Help with daily living tasks as outlined in the client’s personalized support plan.
 Follow health and safety protocols and document daily activities and progress.

Qualifications and Experience:
We are looking for a caring individual with a professional background in a relevant field. The ideal candidate will have experience as a:
– Personal Support Worker (PSW)
– Developmental Support Worker (DSW)
– Social Worker
– Recreation Therapist

Additional Requirements:
– A passion for working with people with disabilities.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
– Ability to work independently and be a proactive problem-solver.
– Valid CPR and First Aid certification.
