| The Opportunity |
| As a landscape labourer, you will work closely with the Landscape Team to complete projects as outlined in the landscape plans. You will be required to operate a variety of tools and work in a variety of outdoor settings throughout the year.
You will have a positive attitude while working and present yourself professionally to the customers, neighbours, inspectors, and other staff. Finally, in every aspect of your job, you will work safely and ensure that others are working safely around you. |
| Key Roles and Responsibilities |
| As a Team:
· Construct steel and vinyl pools · Construct walkways, patios, walls, and other hardscape features · Dig ditches, trenches, and perform other land-clearing activities · Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment as needed to complete projects · Operate hand tools and power tools as needed to complete projects · Transport materials using shovels, wheelbarrows, and by hand · Lay topsoil and sod during project clean up As an Individual: · May be required to assist in the retrieval of hard goods from suppliers · The above Team tasks may sometimes be completed individually Working Conditions: · Work is completed outdoors in various conditions including heat, humidity, rain, excessive dust, noise, and cold; must be able to dress appropriately for the weather · Working in residential environments; imperative that you are polite and friendly |
| Qualifications |
| Education
· High school diploma or GED (minimum requirement) Experience · Experience in outdoor landscape work preferred · Experience building pools an asset Knowledge / Skill / Ability · Ability to walk, stand and crouch for long periods of time · Ability to lift up to 50lbs and carry out strenuous tasks · Must be able to work well under pressure · Ability to work as a team and by yourself · Must have a desire to learn · Strong attention to detail · Strong communication skills · Must have strong time management skills · Must be able to follow instructions Conditions of Employment · Valid Ontario Class G Driver’s License · Employee must be able to reliably get to and from work · Must be able to legally work in Canada |

| Location: Barrie and Simcoe County with some travel outside of these regions
Hours: 40+ hours / week Overtime Available: ☒ yes | ☐ no Pay Type: ☒ hourly | ☐ salary Pay Range: $20 – $35, to be discussed Reports to: Chris Bowman, Owner
