Set Up Technician

We currently have an exciting opportunity as a Set-Up Technician. This role is based out of our Barrie, ON Plant and reports to the Setup Supervisor. We are seeking an energetic individual with a keen eye for detail and a positive attitude. The successful candidate will work within a team of five people with a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Principle Accountabilities:

• Preparing/setting up injection molding machines for start-up/shut down
• Monitoring machine and part quality during running conditions to ensure smooth operation
• Collaborate with Quality department to ensure the initial product meets output criteria
• Troubleshooting during production runs
• Perform mold, tool, and material changes as directed
• Encourage and support change and/or improvement by setting the standard in setup time and methods
• Change process as necessary to optimize utilization of machine capabilities to maximize efficiency
• Follow and consistently exercise current work instructions daily
• Assist other Setup Technicians as required
• Actively participate in the 5S, SAFE, and Continuous Improvement programs
