The Simcoe County District School Board is currently recruiting for the Casual Custodian Supply List. The SCDSB is one of Ontario’s largest public education systems with 102 schools supporting over 50,000 students. We are looking for dedicated individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of our students, staff, and communities. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking for part-time work on day and/or afternoon shifts on a casual basis or as a stepping-stone for those wishing to enter into a career at the SCDSB.

Qualified applicants may be selected for an on-site interview with an interview team at the SCDSB Career Centre location. Unfortunately, not all applicants will qualify for an interview. Only candidates meeting the required qualifications for Casual Custodian positions will be considered. The duties, responsibilities and requirements for Custodian are not limited to details listed below but include all of those in the job description for Custodian. Applicants are encouraged to bring reference information to the job fair.

Salary Range: Start rate – $19.65 per hour   500 hours – $20.35 per hour  2000 hours – $21.41 per hour 4000 hours – $23.57 per hour

Start Date: As soon as possible

Qualifications and Skills Required:  1. Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.  2. Ability to perform heavy physical tasks. 3. Ability to operate building and custodial equipment. 4. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. 5. During the interview process, candidates will be required to perform a lift and ladder assessment.

New hires to the Simcoe County District School Board will be required to submit a Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) that is satisfactory to the Board prior to beginning employment. All new employees will be required to complete mandatory training modules with the Board prior to their first day of employment.
