Pet Groomer

Duties:

• Bathing and clipping dogs to conform to a variety of breed-specific standard styles
• Detangling and removing matted hair
• Drying the coat
• Checking for parasites and other skin conditions
• Trimming nails
• Cleaning the ears
• Expressing anal sacs
• Brushing teeth
• Providing safe and engaging activities and care for animals while in day care setting

Working conditions:

• Must learn to handle animals appropriately while in a grooming situation
• Must be able to shift focus from animals to customers
• Must maintain specific levels of store cleanliness
