Production Associate

Pyrophobic Systems is a leader in intumescent polymer sciences, manufacturing and engineered applications. In that time, we’ve pioneered internationally accredited fire barrier systems tailored to building construction, battery energy storage and electric vehicle applications.

• Starting rate $21.50/ hour
• 4-day work week:
a. Monday through Thursday 10- hour shifts
(6:00 am – 4:00 pm and 7:00 am – 5:00 pm)
• Overtime available
a. 1.5X regular rate over 40 hours
b. 2x regular rate over 44 hours
• Paid lunch breaks

Responsibilities

• Follow all Health & Safety policies and procedures, regular housekeeping and maintaining a clean work area
• Perform duties within quality standards
• Prefers a physical position with heavy lifting up to 90 lbs and willing to utilize lifting aids accordingly
• Packing parts into boxes
• Lifting and removing door cores into racks
• Material handling of heavy chains
• Accurate records in the company’s computer systems
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Flexible to work overtime, cover for various other work cells, product lines, absences, as required.
• Ability to perform well in a fast-paced working environment and maintain the highest quality standards.
• Positive attitude and demeanour. Eager to learn.
• Ability to work in a team effectively and communicate with others (both verbal and written).
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Good sense of organization and keen attention to detail.

Education and Experience
• 1 year experience in a manufacturing, industrial or general labour position preferred
• Minimum High School Diploma, GED required.
